Adam Coombes returns to Welling United

Welling United have resigned striker Adam Coombes from Vanarama National League Sutton United in a permanent deal that will keep the prolific hitman at Park View Road until May 2020.

26 year old Coombes hit the headlines last season when scoring 31 goals for Welling including four hat-tricks and deservedly earned his move in to the Division above.

Injury meant he struggled to settle at Sutton United and after a short successful spell with Hampton and Richmond on loan he has returned home to join The Wings.

He will go straight into the squad to face East Thurrock on Saturday.

Welcome back Adam, you have made my kids happy!

The Wings have also signed centre back Magnus Okuonghae on loan from Maidstone United to replace the outgoing Anthony Acheampong who has returned to his parent club Dulwich Hamlet.
