Ashford make it five new signings….

Ashford United signed their fifth player in the past two weeks when Jordan Johnson-Palmer joined the Bostik South Club. He most recently played for Hythe Town and left the club following a managerial change last week.
The versatile midfielder joins up with the Nuts & Bolts following his ex Hythe Town team mates Will Thomas and Dean Grant. Speaking to the Ashford website this morning Jordan said “I’m happy to join a club with a great fan base and huge ambitions moving forward. Having spoken to a few of the boys at the club who told me how it’s run it was a no brainer for me to join.”
Jordan will miss this weekend’s home match with Corinthian-Casuals due to suspension but will be available for Hastings United a week later.

Last Week Ashford United signed their third and fourth players since the arrival of Gary Alexander into the Management Team after Dean Grant and Will Thomas joined the side both also coming from Hythe Town.
Dean Grant is a striker that was top scorer at Faversham Town before joining Hythe just over a year ago. He has also played for a number of other Kent clubs including Margate, Herne Bay, Canterbury City and Whitstable Town.
Will Thomas is a versatile defender / midfielder and has joined from fellow Bostik South side Hythe Town. He is a product of the Maidstone academy and attracted attention from a number of League clubs as a 17 year old. After a spell at East Grinstead he rejoined Hythe for this season and now makes the switch to ambitious Ashford. Speaking via the official Ashford website Coach Gary Alexander said last week:
“We’re delighted to have Will Thomas join our club. He’s a young player with huge potential and aspirations to play higher. He fits the mould of player we are looking for and can play in a number of positions. Hopefully this is the start of a successful time for Will with Ashford United.”

Grant and Thomas became the third and fourth players to join the Ashford set-up this month following Ola Williams and the return of George Kamarusi.
Asford visited Guernsey on Saturday and played out a 1-1 draw.

Going the other way Tommy Cooney has left the club to join Heybridge Swifts
