Charlie MacDonald signs for VCD Athletic

On Thursday evening Bostik South East side VCD Athletic confirmed the signing of former Brentford Striker Charlie MacDonald.

In a real show of intent ahead of the new Season VCD have signed the prolific front man on a one year contract.

MacDonald has scored goals wherever he has played and can put teams like Charlton, Southend, MK Dons and Oldham in his resume.

Last Season he started at Greenwich Borough before moving to Cray Wanderers. On debut for Cray, he scored twice, against VCD. Both his sides made the play-offs but came up short in that elimination process.

VCD Manager Keith McMahon will certainly be happy to have got his man after being very vocal on his admiration of the 37 year-old on many occasions last term and would be the first to give credit to all involved in getting the deal done.
