Tonbridge Angels boss, Steve McKimm has swooped down for league leaders Haringey Borough striker Chinedu McKenzie in order to boost the Longmead outfit’s goalscoring rate.
McKimm’s side has found the back of the net hard to come by particularly during November and December with the result that the club has dropped to 10th in the league having at one stage headed up the pack.
Chinedu’s manager at Haringey Borough,Tom Loizou tweeted on his departure “ Good luck Chinedu you are an honest person and a very good player and a true gentleman, thank you for all your efforts, your equaliser against Brentwood in the 89th minute set us up for our magnificent FA Cup run, you have played a major part of our success story, good luck mate.”
The forward can list Maidenhead United, Romford, Greenwich Borough, Harlow Town and Bromley as other previous clubs in his career and will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s home Bostik Premier fixture against Brightlingsea Regent.
McKimm said today: “I’m really looking forward to seeing Chinedu in action for the Angels and hope he has a long and successful spell at Longmead.”
