New faces and old come through the door at Cray Wanderers

Cray Wanderers have been busy signing and announcing new players to their side ahead of the Bostik South East Season.

The first they have welcomed is the return of Sean Roberts to the club. Sean who played 95 games for Cray between 2015-17 was a member of AFC Hornchurch’s Bostik North title winning last season. Sean adds great energy and tackling ability to the Wands midfield.

Next through the Hayes Lane door is Tom Phipp. Recently Tom has been turning out for Crowborough Athletic whilst completing his Marketing Degree. Before that Tom played for Ebbsfleet United, Margate & Tonbridge Angels and adds top quality to the midfield.

Cray also confirm that Mitchell Nelson has re-signed for the club after being released towards the end of last season. The experienced central defender made 47 appearances scoring 6 goals and part of a defence which conceded just 18 goals last season.

Next they confirm the signing of left back Matthew George to the club. Matt started out at Crystal Palace before signing for Lewes in 2016 and was a member of their Bostik South promotion winning side last season. Another classy addition to the defence & gets forward well.

Finally Jerome Federico is also on his way back to the club. Former Kingstonian & Hampton & Richmond Borough player Jerome played for Cray last season making 25 apps as a winger before being released in January. A very popular player with the fans. Welcome back Jerome.

Certainly a busy time for Cray Wanderers who now kick-off their Pre-season campaign when visiting SC THamesmead tonight.
