Ramsgate Football Club have confirmed the signing of Kane Rowland from Folkestone Invicta FC for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year old forward joined Ramsgate last month on an initial 1-month loan, although that deal has now been made permanent after the club reached an agreement with Folkestone.
“I’m delighted to sign for the club on a permanent basis, the place I’ve been since a little kid,” Kane said.
“Nick played a massive part in me wanting to sign, obviously playing for him at Sittingbourne last year,”
“I enjoyed playing under him there so when he came to Ramsgate, it was a massive influence in me transferring to Ramsgate.”
The signing will come as a massive boost to Rams boss Nick Davis who last month said he had hopes a transfer would become permanent.
Paul Bowden-Brown CEO & Director of Ramsgate FC confirmed it had always been his intention to get Kane’s signature on a contract after discussions with Nick Davis regarding his player requirements for the remainder of this season and next.
“It was very clear Nick felt Kane’s involvement at the Club would play a significant role in meeting the targets we have set for the remainder of the season and next,” Paul said.
“I would also at this time like to thank Jim Pellatt and Neil Cugley of Folkestone Invicta FC for allowing us to agree the deal,”
“I hope our supporters can once again see that the Directors of Ramsgate Football Club are looking to the future with the current reorganisation within the Club that is in progress at this time both on and off the field,”
“This club will once again be put on the map where it should be to ensure that all of our supporters new and old can enjoy the experience once again.”
In further news the club has introduced their brand new badge which they say represents their “great history but also the future commitments at the club. A modern twist on tradition.”
