Elliot Romain signs for Maidstone United

Harry Wheeler has moved once again in the transfer market to bring in Elliott Romain from Dagenham & Redbridge.

The striker arrives at the Gallagher Stadium on a deal until the end of the season.

26-year-old Elliott comes to us having played against the Stones a number of times over the years.

After being released by Millwall he joined Ryman South Three Bridges, playing against the Stones for the Sussex outfit in the 2012/13 season. As the Stones made their way up the non league pyramid, so did Elliott, facing Maidstone for Lewes (Ryman Premier), Eastbourne (National South), Torquay and Dagenham (both National League).

Harry Wheeler commented on the deal:

“We are delighted to bring Elliott to the club.

He is a player that I have admired for a long time, and is someone who fits the same mould as the other players that have joined the club in recent weeks and those remaining who were here when we took over.

Elliott will add another goal threat to the side and leads by example with his work rate and character; he is a big part of our rebuilding process.”
