Former Dartford Keeper makes his way to Woking

Woking Football Club have announced the signing of goalkeeper Berti Schotterl.

German-born keeper Berti started his career at Watford aged 17 in 2012, in the under 18 side. He then signed for German side Inter Leipzig, before coming back to England to train at Fulham. In February he joined Dartford, helping the Vanarama National League South side reach 2nd place in the table.

Dowse commented: “He obviously played a massive part in getting Dartford an inch away from winning the title, with seven clean sheets in the last ten games and a lot of that’s down to him. I think he’ll bring an unbelievable personality to the club and we need someone like that.”

With Schotterl making this move, Deren Ibrahim will regain his number one journey at Princes Park.

Woking will take their place in the National League South this Season with the campaign beginning on 4th August.
