New signings for Welling United

New Welling Manager Steve King has wasted no time in announcing fresh faces at Park View Road as he brings in a number of signings on Day One of his time in charge.

The first is goalkeeper Daniel Wilks from Whitehawk. Keeper Daniel Wilks initially joined the Hawks on loan from Bostik Division One North side Maldon & Tiptree in January 2018, before signing permanently in March.

Daniel joined Maldon & Tiptree at the start of the 2016 season and went on to make over 50 first team appearances before playing on loan for Colchester United’s U23 side this season.

Second signing is Isaac Newton (Zack) from Worthing. Zack is an attacking midfielder.

Jordan Gibbons is name number three signed on this first evening. The 24-year-old Defensive player has returned to England following a spell in the United States with USL Western Conference side Phoenix Rising when he signed for Whitehawk in March this year.

Gibbons is a product of the Queens Park Rangers youth academy.
He was with the Rs from 2011 until 2015 with a brief loan spell to Scottish side Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2013.
He spent a season with Yeovil Town and then had spells with Bostik League Premier sides Kingstonian and Wingate & Finchley.

Finally for now, it’s a familiar face for Wings fans with Craig Braham-Barrett returning to the Club for his third spell. The pacy left back joins from Chelmsford City.

All four have signed one-year deals at the club.
