Quigley signs for Maidstone United

Jay Saunders has signed former Bournemouth striker Joe Quigley for Maidstone United.

The 21-year-old, who made his international debut for the Republic of Ireland U21s in March, has signed at one-year deal at the Gallagher.

Quigley spent a decade on the south coast, during a time where the Cherries went from League Two to Premier League.

In the last few years he’s had loan spells with Gillingham and Newport County, as well as Torquay, Woking, Wrexham and most-recently Boreham Wood.

Following his release from Bournemouth, Jay and club chief executive Bill Williams have been putting in the hours to secure the signature of the highly-rated frontman and that has clearly paid off.

Maidstone begin the Season when they welcome Hartlepool to the Gallagher on the 4th of August.
