Robinson reunited with Wheeler at Maidstone

Maidstone United have announced the surprise signing of Jake Robinson.

The prolific Billericay Town striker has joined for an undisclosed fee.

Jake had record-breaking 2017-18 season in which he scored 57 goals under the stewardship of Harry Wheeler at Billericay.

That remarkable season has been backed up with 16 goals so far this campaign as Ricay look to gain promotion from the National League South.

Manager Harry Wheeler said of the deal:

“Jake is somebody I have wanted since I’ve been here and we have worked relentlessly to get him.

“There was a lot of interest in him, so to get this transfer over the line is a very positive move for the club.

“He is a natural goalscorer with over 100 goals in two and a half years. He has sixteen already this season, he is a pure finisher and he will add a lot to this group.”

Jake will travel with the team to Barrow tomorrow morning and is available to be selected for the game.
