SE Dons given controversial loss

SE Dons have been handed their first loss of the league season after their Abandoned game against Bickley in November was this week awarded to their opponents by the FA.

With the game entering the final stages and the scoreline at 3-2 to the Dons Bickley were awarded a penalty. Keeper George Kamurasi saved the kick well but soon after the referee, together with his linesman, wrongly judged that he had moved off his line and so the kick would have to be retaken.

A bit of a melee ensued and as a result Kamurasi was sent off. Tempers were getting frayed and during further heated discussions the referee claimed that someone had struck him.

As a result the referee called the game off saying it was too dangerous to continue.

The FA then reviewed the case and this week awarded the game to Bickley, giving the SE Dons there first loss this league season.
