Sin Bins are coming to Steps 5 and 6!

It has been confirmed by the FA that Temporary Dismissals (Sin Bins) will be introduced at Step 5 & 6 of the National League System from the start of the 2019-20 Season.

The scheme has been in affect from Step 7 and below throughout the 2018-19 season and as a result dissent dropped and respect towards the officials improved.

Meetings will be held following the conclusion of this season for all clubs and match officials at Steps 5 and 6 where the FA will make a presentation on the implementation of this initiative which incorporates a training session on how it operates.

In my view it is much needed as dissent towards officials is the single worst thing in our game at this level, ruins the spectator experience and is the reason why I will not take my youngest child to a match in Step 5 or 6.
