Amaluzor rejoins Still at Maidstone

Maidstone United have signed Braintree Town winger Justin Amaluzor.

The 22-year-old makes the National League switch on a permanent contract which runs until the summer of 2020.

A former Dartford youth player, Justin was snapped up by Barnet in 2015 and quickly broke into the Bees’ first team, then playing in League Two.

Loan spells at Hayes & Yeading, Hemel Hempstead, Hampton & Richmond and Bognor Regis followed before a permanent move to Braintree at the start of this season, where he has made twenty league appearances.

Head of Football John Still said:

Justin is quick, bright and has got a goal in him. He can play wide on either side – he likes to play on the right and cut in on his left foot, and he can play off the main striker.

I went to watch Braintree play Maidenhead to look at him and he was very, very good. When I went to Barnet I knew him and I liked him, but when I got there he had already left the club. Justin ended up with Hakan at Braintree and as soon as Hakan came here with me I asked about Justin.

We are fortunate because he was not contracted, so we did it the right way with a seven day approach and we’re absolutely delighted to bring him on board.
