Billericay reveal new signings including Lafayette from Sutton.

Billericay Town have strengthened the squad with four new additions.

Striker Ross Lafayette has signed from Sutton United. Ross started his career with Chesham United later joining Wealdstone, Hemel Hempstead, Welling United and Luton Town.

Lafayette joined Sutton in summer 2017 from Dover, and scored 15 goals in 53 games for the club, including four in the league this season. Manager Paul Doswell explained: ”We had an enquiry from Dean Brennan at Billericay with regards to Ross, and have agreed to his immediate transfer.”

“Billericay have offered Ross a really good contract which includes a deal for next season and an option for a further year thereafter, and at this moment we were not in a position to talk with regards to next season. Ross was a big part of our success last season and was a pleasure to work with, and this opportunity is perfect for him as it allows him to work as a recruitment manager during the day and train in the evenings. “We wish him all the best for the future.”

Callum Jahraldo-Martin has joined from Hemel Hempstead Town. Defender Callum had played for Boreham Wood and Dulwich Hamlet prior to joining Hull City, where he made one appearance.

He went out on loan to Tranmere Rovers and Leyton Orient before joining Oldham Athletic in 2016.

Jahraldo-Martin has been capped by Antigua & Barbuda 22 times, scoring 5 goals

Town have signed two youth players on short term loans from Nottingham Forest.

Joe Coveney and Ethan Stewart are both defenders, Joe had previously been with Manchester City.
