Dulwich Hamlet announce signings and fixtures ahead of 2021/22 season

Ahead of the new campaign Dulwich Hamlet have announced a number of new signings, shared their pre-season fixtures – and revealed their league games.

First-up the club have announced the signing of Grenada international Tyrone Sterling. The experienced defender joins from Concord Rangers, having captained his team to the FA Trophy Final earlier this year. Sterling is a product of the Aspire Academy and joined Cray Wanderers in 2007 where he made over 200 appearances. Subsequently he has played for Dover Athletic, Dartford, Bromley and Hemel Hempstead.

Sterling was called up to the Grenada National Team in 2018, making his debut in CONCACAF Nations League Qualification against Cuba. He has gone on to represent his country 8 times and has just joined up with the rest of the squad for the 2021 Gold Cup in Houston, kicking off their campaign against Honduras on Tuesday 13 July.

Meanwhile, Quade Taylor has signed on for his sixth season at Dulwich Hamlet. The versatile defender has amassed over 150 appearances for the club and we are pleased to announce he will be here for another year.

Michael Timlin has also returned, having joined Dulwich in August 2020. The vastly experienced midfielder will continue to support manager Gavin Rose and the coaching team at Champion Hill.

Young winger Andrew Harris-Sealy has also joined the club. Harris-Sealy first came in towards the end of 2020 from Farnborough and made his Dulwich Hamlet debut off the bench against Billericay in January 2021. He came through at Wolverhampton Wanderers, departing the club in 2018.

Jack Holland has signed for Dulwich Hamlet for the 2021/22 season. Holland, a defender, joins from Bromley FC where he captained the side and made 374 appearances. He came through Bromley’s Youth programme and then spent four years at Crystal Palace, before returning to Bromley. During his time at Bromley he was named Player of the Year three times. Holland has also represented his country as an England C International.

The 29-year-old predominantly plays at centre back.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper and fan favourite Charlie Grainger has signed on for another season – his third at Dulwich Hamlet. Grainger joined from Leyton Orient in July 2019 and has impressed during his time between the sticks in the National League South.

Striker Danny Mills has also signed for Dulwich Hamlet for a third season.

Mills has been a key figure at the club in the past few seasons, scoring 26 goals in 51 appearances for the Hamlet.

Also returning to the club are defenders Sanchez Ming and Andre Blackman, and midfielders Jordan Higgs, Gio McGregor and Aspire Academy product Jamie Splatt.

Ming returns for his sixth season at the club, his third spell at Dulwich. So far he has made 223 appearances for Dulwich, scoring 19 goals.

South London-born Andre Blackman is a left back and made several appearances for the club during the shortened 2020/21 season. His former clubs include AFC Wimbledon, Celtic, MAS Fez, Crawley Town and Barnet in a career spanning over a decade.

Jordan Higgs is a central midfielder and joined from Bromley last season. The 24-year-old made 150 appearances for Bromley, having come through their academy.

Young midfielder Gio McGregor also returns, following a brief spell with the club last season. The talented 22-year-old joins from Crystal Palace, where he was a key part of their development sides and also spent time on loan at Dartford. McGregor scored his first goal for Dulwich in their 4-1 victory over Bath City in November 2020.

Versatile youngster Jamie Splatt also continues his involvement with the first team, having been promoted from the club’s Aspire Academy. Recently he has gained experience on loan at Merstham and at Westfield FC.

Additionally, the club have signed right-back Jazzi Barnum-Bobb who featured for Dartford last season. The defender came through Watford’s academy, and has spent time at Cardiff City and Newport County, with a loan spell at Torquay United between clubs.
