Faversham Town – 2021/22 Squad, signings and fixtures

Faversham Town have announced several new signings into the 2021/22 squad

They have also revealed that many have been retained from last year.

Luis Dos Santos is one to have joined up.

A delighted James Collins said: “Luis is an young and exciting player, he can turn a game on it’s head with a moment of genius.

“Faversham supporters saw a few glimpses of what I know he is capable of, I am looking forward to once again working with Luis and getting the best out of him on a regular basis.”

Alfie Speirs has been retained. James Collins stated : “Alfie is another young player who played a major part last season and I want to see more of him this season, he’s a massive part of our changing room, but proved that he is more than reliable when called upon. Alfie provides plenty of competition for our left-back slot.”

Benedict Bioletti will be signing for the 2021/22 season. The young winger/wing-back was a revelation last season, so it was just a shame the season finished when it did as who knows what Benedict would of achieved.

Collins, stated: “I am so pleased that Benny has agreed to continue his development at the club. I think he is the biggest success story of the last year. To make your debut aged just 16 is no mean feat, to then go on and become a regular feature in the side is incredible and goes to show how highly thought of he is.

“I think Benny can go on to achieve whatever he wants to, and I’m delighted that he has committed to us for the forthcoming season.”

Faversham Town F.C are delighted to have retained the services of Lewis Chambers

Manager, James Collins, said: “Naturally I am delighted that Lewis has agreed to sign for the coming season, he is integral to how we play and is a top, top person. In my first season, he was my first signing and I think you learn more about people in times of adversity and Lewis was immense for us in a very difficult time. Again as a person absolutely top draw, as a player, he is someone you want on your side. I’m looking forward to being a part of his development and I know he is a firm favourite with the supporters.”

Local lad Sam Bewick has committed to Faversham for the 2021/22 season.

James Collins, said: “Really delighted that we have managed to retain the services of Sam. He came in around the same time as ‘Bourney’ and really added to the side. His energy suits the way we play and we know he will score goals too. Sam is brilliant to have around the place, I can’t speak highly enough of him and he is a real big player for us.”

The fans will be delighted that defender, Matt Bourne, has committed to another season at the Lilywhites.

MattĀ  said: “I didn’t get the full season in last year due to the curtailed season, I enjoyed the way we were playing and want to see that progression for the 2021/22 season.”

Manager James Collins said: “I am really happy Matt has committed to the club for another year. He certainly needs no introduction from me.

“‘Bourney’ came back to the club just before our first league game last season and his impact was instant, he took us us to another level as a group and I’m really looking forward to working with him again for the coming season.”

Faversham Town F.C manager James Collins has spoken further about the players set to stay with the club next season.

Club captain, Harry Harding, is hoping to carry on from where he started in the 2020/21 season, scoring plenty of goals and rewarding the fans with guts and determination, getting Faversham Town to the play- off position. Unfortunately the season was curtailed early last season.

“Harry is a born leader,” said Collins.

On Donvieve Jones being retained, Collins said: “Of course, I’m delighted Donvieve has committed to the club again for the forthcoming season.

“He is one of the only players still to remain from Danny and Phil’s reign, he has been the most consistent player during my time at the club so far.

“I wouldn’t swap him for any other right-back in our league, I think he is getting better with every match.

“For someone of such a young age, he is a big influence in the changing room and has an infectious personality.

“If he applies himself correctly, I’m sure he can go onto a much higher level, hopefully, with Faversham Town F.C.”
