Goldberg brings Dymond home

Welling United Manager Mark Goldberg has announced the signing of Connor Dymond from Margate.

Dymond who ironically scored against Welling last week in the 1-1 draw between the sides now reverts to the red colours of The Wings.

Connor who was a popular member of the squad during his last spell at the club in the 2017/18 season will be most remembered for a crucial last minute penalty save at Havant & Waterlooville, having been forced in goal. Connor is now reunited with Mark Goldberg and is an integral part of the plans going forward.

Going the other way is Kudus Oyenega who hardly got to wear the Welling shirt.

The 26 year-old has spent seven years in the Tottenham Hotspur youth system, has played in Finland and Qatar and had several spells in the Scottish Premiership and Championship.

More recently, Oyenuga signed for Dartford FC and enjoyed a loan spell at fellow Ishmian League side Haringey Borough, last season.

Oyenuga’s pace and direct forward play impressed Manager Jay Saunders who managed to seal his signature for the 2019/20 campaign.

In further Welling United news coach Paul Barnes has left the Club due to family commitments.
