Former Greenwich Borough Manager Medley moves to Sheppey

Luke Medley has quickly found a new club after leaving Greenwich Borough as today he was unveiled as a Sheppey United player.

Medley was quietly released from Greenwich Borough on the 28th November but the Club has kept it under wraps and only released a short statement on Instagram saying it on Monday, two days after a home defeat to Haywards Heath 2 days before.

Two weeks after those events he has found his way to SCEFL Premier Division side Sheppey United where he will bring his experience in all areas to help his new side continue their promotion push.

Medley joined Borough at the start of the season from Cray Wanderers and needed to bring in a brand new squad with few remaining from before. He created a young, fast side but ultimately could not put points on the board leaving the side dangerously close to the relegation zone.

The club thanked him for his efforts and wished him the best for the future.

Huseyin Torgut has replaced him on an interim basis. Torgut was appointed the same day as Medley’s departure and has made a good start to his Management career winning 2 out of 3 games.
