Halls AFC announce New Management Team

Halls AFC have announced Pete Nolan and Dean Rose as their new Management Team.

The pairing most recently worked together at Bromleians following a spell Halstead.

They will form a trio with existing First Team Coach George Michaelas.

The team has been superbly headed by Player-Manager Billy Judd for the last 3 seasons, and he guided the Club to their highest County League finish this century, and won the Hospital Charity Cup and still retains this now until the 19/20 final is played in September (fingers crossed!) Billy is a true Halls Hero in his 10th year at the Club and retains his role within the Club Committee as Head Coach, and as a key Trustee of the Charity in our most important 12 months yet off of the pitch.

Halls AFC Chairman Steve Vanstone said;

“We are really happy to have secured Peter as our new First Team Manager. He will bring focus and competition to the senior squad this summer and we look forward to building upon the foundations, and the progress of Billy’ efforts over the last 3 season.”

“Billy did a great job as player-manager but we are all agreed that a full-time gaffer is the way forward, and Billy has been side by side with us all the way on this.”

“We have planning consent due imminently on our new ground, and we have a growing youth and senior section at the Club again this summer, so I can’t thank Billy – and the rest of the committee – enough for their ongoing, devoted efforts across the whole Club.”

The First Team have also confirmed pre-season matches against Rusthall, Snodland, Forest Hill Park, Fleetdown and Otford in preparation for the new season starting in early September, all being well.

Club Secretary Chris Michaelas said,

“A big welcome to Peter and Dean. I look forward to seeing the team take that next step into the top 3+ this season. After a good end to the season and a good run of form since Christmas, we know that the current squad is capable of achieving this with some added competition and a new focus this summer.”

“Thanks to Billy for his unwavering dedication and energy, and for the great job over the last 3 years. He will be looking forward to resuming just playing on a Saturday this season and being a part of a growing senior squad on a mission to progress again this season with more silverware! Come on Halls!”
