Ide Hill FC awarded £39k Grant

Kent County League side Ide Hill have been awarded a £39,000 grant from the Premier League, The FA and Governement’s Football Foundation.

The Football Foundation is the UK’s largest sports charity and exists to improve the experience of playing football for everyone, by championing fair access to quality facilities.

Speaking about the award the Ide Hill secretary Keith McGinn said: “Ide Hill FC over the years have been very protective over the pitches at Camberwell Lane to try and keep them in the best possible condition for the use of our juniors. This funding along with our own annual budget allows us to have a £9,000 pitch maintenance and improvement fund for the next 6 years!

“This sort of money will massively improve not only the standard of our pitches but also their durability against wet or extreme bad weather. The support and funding continues to improve our clubs capability to maintain and increase the number of children playing from within our community.”

Ide Hill were in 4th place in the Kent County Premier Division when last season came to an early end.
