League fails to support North Ferriby United change

An application to relocate North Ferriby United FC and also a change of playing name to East Hull, has been rejected by the Northern Premier League.

A statement on the club’s official website says, “The matter of the relocation, which is solely a decision for the Northern Premier League was considered at length at a meeting held on the 12th December and ultimately the request was refused.

North Ferriby United’s owners remain confident though that they can push through their case for a ground relocation and name change, despite seeing their first application turned down.

Former owner Jamie Waltham, who is working with current owner Carl Chadwick, is expected to plead the case in person for a proposed move to Dunswell Park and changing the club’s name, when visiting Football Association headquarters later this month.

The Ferriby owners will hope to get overturned the decision by the Northern Premier League aswell as get the name change approved by the FA despite the lack of support by their League.
