Maidstone sign keeper for the rest of the Season

Maidstone United have signed Sutton United goalkeeper Ross Worner on loan until the end of the season.

The deal was penned this afternoon after being verbally agreed yesterday.

The 29-year-old replaces Grant Smith who was recalled from his loan by Lincoln City.

An experienced goalkeeper at this level and above, Ross began his career at Woking where his first team performances as a young player earned him a move to Charlton Athletic in 2010.

After a year at Charlton Ross joined Aldershot Town, then in League Two, spending two years at The Rec before linking up with AFC Wimbledon.

After 52 appearances for The Dons and a loan spell back at Woking, the stopper joined Sutton in 2015, playing against Maidstone United in both the National South and National League.
