Positive Test hands Wings a 4-game break

Welling United have had to postpone their next 4 games due to a Covid outbreak within their squad.

Following the postponement of today’s match at home to Havant & Waterlooville, Welling United’s games against St Albans City (24th November), Bath City (28th November) and Braintree Town (1st December) have also been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

A Club statement reads:

“Following this Covid-19 event, the entire playing squad and management team have entered a 14-day period of self-isolation as instructed by The National League, taking the advice of Public Health England and the League Medical Officer,” .

“We will continue to be guided by Public Health England and National League protocols in this period,” added the Park View Road outfit.

The club are working with their streaming partner to provide fans’ refunds where necessary.

“If you’ve already purchased a stream for a postponed game and don’t require a refund, you will have stream access when the re-arranged match is played,” added the club.

The streaming company can be contacted by emailing them at

Bradley Quinton’s side are presently sitting in the bottom five in the table with six points from their opening seven games, while for the record Havant & Waterlooville are in eighth-place with 10 points from their five outings.
