Ramsamy latest to join Faversham Town

Damien Ramsamy has become the latest addition to the Faversham Town squad ahead of the impending 2020/21 season.

James Collins has certainly been busy of late signing the likes of Harry Harding, Grant Brown, Tom Loynes, Azz Lyoubi, Alfie Spiers, Michael Hagana and Stephen Okoh for the Lilywhites.

Speaking of the recruitment of his latest acquisition the manager revealed he had repeatedly tried to sign Damien at previous clubs but never managed to convince him to come.

But the 28-year-old has now registered for the Lilywhites and was training with his new teammates this week as the squad prepares for the new campaign.

Boss James said: “Damien is a player I’ve admired for a number of years. I’ve tried to sign him a few times but have never been able to get a deal over the line.

“He had his best spells at Fisher and Beckenham, and we want to help him regain that impact.

“He’s another wide player, which gives us plenty of options and competition in those areas – something we identified as a priority this season.”

The club is now awaiting news of a start date for the new Isthmian League season after the FA announced it was putting together a comprehensive action plan in the wake of the Government’s confirmation that team sports could restart soon.
