Ryan Palmer agrees to join Sittingbourne

Ryan Palmer has formally agreed to join Sittingbourne FC for the 2020/21 season

The attacking midfielder was most recently at SCEFL side Chatham Town where he had a succesful spell after joining in January.

Brickies boss Darren Blackburn announced the news on Twitter, and although it is very early to talk about new signings, he wanted to give the supporters a lift in these troubled times.

“I’m very proud to announce Ryan Palmer has agreed to re-join the Brickies for next season,” said Blackburn.

“Ryan’s a fantastic lad and can’t wait to work with him on and off the field on our projects.

“I know it’s early but there’s so much doom and gloom, I just felt the fans needed a lift.”

Palmer is happy to be returning to a former club;

“I’m excited by the events both on and off the pitch. Buzzing to get started under Darren Blackburn and the lads, whenever that may be.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge and getting started. It’s nice to be returning to a club where most things started.”

Sittingbourne play at Step 4 of the Non League pyramid in the isthmian South East Division. Last season was declared Null and Void and it is unclear at the moment exactly when the next campaign will begin.

Ryan Palmer will continue playing on Sundays for his very polular side SE Dons in the Orpington and Bromley Sunday Football League.
