Welling United sign Hampton winger

Welling United have tonight announced the signing of Brendan Kiernan from Hampton & Richmond

Kiernan is a 25 year old attacking winger that started his football life in in the Youth set-ups at Fulham, Crystal Palace and AFC Wimbledon.

His Non-League journey has seen him play for the likes of Bromley, Staines Town, Ebbsfleet United, and Lingfield before finding a home at Hampton and Richmond.

It was at the Beveree that Kiernan has seemed to perform at his best and he will be missed by the fans there after racking up plenty of goals in his couple of seasons on the books.

Brendan went straight into the squad for the pre-season game against Millwall at Park View Road tonight and made an appearance in the second half.

He could now be the final piece in Steve King’s Welling United Jigsaw as the new Manager aims to build a squad capable of competing at the top of the National League South.

Welling play their final Pre-season game at Dorking Wanderers on Tuesday night before hosting Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday in the League.
