Collins ends short stay at Herne Bay

James Collins has ended his short stay as Herne Bay Manager after completing his job to save them from relegation.

Collins only took the reigns up of the Isthmian South East Club on February 20th but has decided to not extend his stay into next season with the environment at Bay clearly not to suit.

Herne Bay Football Club Chairman Matt Barman said “After a tumultuous start to the season we found ourselves being drawn into a relegation battle, James was appointed with the remit to keep our Club in the Isthmian South East League, we thank James wholeheartedly for doing just that and wish him nothing but the best for the future”

James Collins “I was asked to do a job at Herne Bay and I have done so. I’m thrilled to have delivered on the expectations. HBFC is a massive club with one of the best fan bases I’ve ever had privilege to be involved with and I wish them nothing but success going forwards”

Neither party will be making any further comment.
