Ebbsfleet part ways with Searle
Ebbsfleet United have parted ways with manager Danny Searle.
The club currently sits at the bottom of the Vanarama National League, having earned just one point from their first seven games. Their most recent setback was a 4-0 defeat to Altrincham.
In a statement, the club acknowledged Searle’s crucial role last season in avoiding relegation: “We would like to recognize the incredible job Danny did in saving the club from relegation after taking over as interim manager in February, culminating in that unforgettable day at Boreham Wood, which secured our National League status.”
The statement continued, “However, with this season’s focus on maintaining that status, the decision has been made to part company with Danny after a start that has fallen below expectations. Such decisions are never made lightly but always with the club’s best interests at heart.”
Assistant manager Anwar Uddin has also left the club, while Josh Wright will take charge for the next game when Ebbsfleet hosts eighth-placed Aldershot Town tomorrow night.
“We wish Danny and Anwar every success in their future endeavors,” the club added. “Both have our gratitude for guiding the club to safety last season and for their hard work and dedication throughout their time here.”
