Hakan Hayrettin gets the Heave Ho from Hamlet
Dulwich Hamlet have decided to part ways with manager Hakan Hayrettin and his coaching staff, effective immediately.
The club currently sits 15th in the Isthmian League Premier Division, having collected 29 points from 25 matches (eight wins, five draws, and 12 losses). With just one victory in their last 11 league games, Dulwich Hamlet finds themselves 12 points away from the play-off spots and only six points clear of the relegation zone. Their latest setback came in a 4-3 home loss to bottom-placed Bognor Regis Town, marking a third consecutive league defeat.
Hayrettin, 54, took charge of Dulwich Hamlet on March 2, 2023. He previously managed Waltham Forest, Thurrock, Grays Athletic, Braintree Town, and Maidstone United, where he notably led the team to the National League South title in the 2021-22 season.
In a brief statement, the club said: “A further statement will be issued in due course, but we would like to thank Hak and his team for their service to the club and wish them success in the future.”
Dulwich Hamlet will host Andy Drury’s Folkestone Invicta at Champion Hill on Saturday at 3 PM.
Meanwhile, Folkestone Invicta are set to face 19th-placed Cheshunt (24 points from 23 matches) at Cheriton Road tonight.
