Southern Vets League on hold due to Tier 3 Restrictions
The Southern Veterans League is on hold following the decision to put Kent under Tier 3 restrictions.
A League Statement reads;
The League Management Committee have unanimously decided to suspend all fixtures in our league until further notice.
Unfortunately this is due to the fact that we operate over several County borders and one of these counties (Kent) is in a higher tier.
According to the current guidance it is not advisable for any adult living in Kent to visit any other area of the UK except for specific reasons and adult football is not one of the specific reasons.
Also it is not advisable for any adult to travel to an area in a higher tier unless it is for the same specific reasons and as before adult football is not one of the specific reasons.
Should the situation change then the league will review this and if possible will restart from where we left off.
Have a very happy Christmas and New Year and stay safe and well.
Regards
John Forbes
SVFL Secretary.
