Dan Gibbs to leave Orpington at end of Season

Dan Gibbs will be leaving his role as Orpington FC Manager at the end of the season.

Gibbs took the job on in January and has currenlty has the Club involved in a battle for promotion.

He released this satement via his Social Media;

“At the end of the current season my Management Team & I will be leaving Orpington FC.

Unfortunately the Orpington Board and I have different visions in where we want to be going forward and therefore I will be seeking a new challenge this summer that more closely aligns with my vision. I’d like to thank the board for their trust in me for the second half of the season and wish the club all the best for the future.

I’d also like to thank to Joe Visser for bringing me in to Orpington, I hope I’ve repaid the decision with the results the boys have got on the pitch since January with 10 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.

I will be looking for a new challenge with a club that has solid foundations, ambition and a clear vision on where they want to go.

As always, thank you to my Team of Karl Moir, Stuart McIvor & Kay McIvor for again trusting me and putting everything into the challenge, even for this short period.

Thanks as well to the players who have been with me on this journey at Orpington. I’ve fallen on my feet with a good bunch of Lads yet again and the results prove that. I’m sure it won’t be the last time many of you play under me.

Two more games to go at Orpington and then it’s time to go again but in different surroundings.

Gibbo”
