Kent County Clubs vote to void season
The Kent County League season has been declared Null and Void following a Club vote.
At the SGM held remotely on Wednesday night a 66% YES vote was needed for the season to continue but results came in at 52% YES and 48% NO leading to a Null and Void decision on the 2020/21 Season.
With the season at this level allowed to continue into June it was hoped that this league would provide players and supporters alike the opportunity to play or watch some much-needed competitive football.
However with the NO vote ultimately winning out the chance to bring plenty of attention to the League and it’s clubs has now been missed.
At the meeting it was confirmed that the 2021/22 season will begin on 14th August for all Divisions.
Confirmation of the figures – one vote one club.
84 were entitled to vote.
Votes: 43 For – 39 Against
2 votes not recorded.
vote % For: 52% -Against 48% -short of the 2/3rds majority required to pass the motion.
