A fleet of new signings at the Kufflink

Ebbsfleet United have been busy strengthening their squad ahead of their return to Step One football.

A winger once recorded as the fastest footballer on the planet has raced into the Kuflink Stadium as ex-England U16 skipper Matthias Fanimo returns to his homeland for the Vanarama National League campaign ahead.

The 29-year-old joins the Fleet after his latest spell in Europe, playing for FC Koper in Slovenia. He has spent the last five years in the Balkans, also living and playing in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia.

The Fleet have announced that David Amoo is another new recruit for Fleet. Amoo is a wide attacking player who signed his first professional contract with Liverpool and has played more than 400 senior games in England and Scotland since.

Born in South London, Amoo started locally in Millwall’s youth team with a goalscoring record that attracted Liverpool, who he signed for in 2007 aged 16. After reaching the FA Youth Cup Final with the Reds, he broke into the first-team squad under Roy Hodgson and played in the UEFA Europa League.

Dennis Kutrieb has also moved to bolster his defence with the signing of another experienced former EFL player in attacking full-back Hayden White.

The 28-year-old Londoner has spent his career north of the Watford Gap but now returns to more familiar surroundings after leaving Walsall earlier this summer.

There’s new arrival in the middle of the park for the Fleet as Ousseynou Cissé became the club’s second new signing of the summer.

The French-born former Paris Saint-Germain youth has spent the last three seasons in League Two and the National League and moves to the Kuflink Stadium after playing for Eastleigh in 2022/23.

Jack Wakely was the Fleet’s first new signing of the summer with the defender joining from League One club Wycombe Wanderers on a season-long loan.

The big centre-back, aged 22, measures 6ft 4 in height and arrives with an excellent pedigree having come through the ranks at Chelsea.

Jack Paxman has been confirmed to have left the club.
