Dombaxe fired from Hendon after weapon incident
A FORMER Tottenham academy player has been sacked by Hendon FC after allegedly bringing a Machete into training.
Midfielder Laste Dombaxe, 23, took the weapon into the Southern League Premier Division South side last Thursday.
His motive appears to have been to scare some of the younger players but he was confronted by veteran striker Marvin Morgan over the incident.
Dombaxe is understood to have then sat on the car of former Shrewsbury ace Morgan before poking the 35-year-old’s jacket and tyres with the knife.
A row broke out and both were fined two weeks’ wages and released by the club.
Dombaxe came through the Spurs academy before being released in 2014.
Hendon today released this statement
As has been reported on social and national media, an incident occured at first team training last week. As a result of this incident, the Board and Jimmy Gray have decided that neither Marvin Morgan nor Laste Dombaxe will appear for the club again.
The club regards this issue as closed and will not be issuing any further statements. We now look forward to our match against Staines Town which we hope will be the first of many ties in this year’s FA Trophy campaign.
