Romain and others join Fleet, while others Remain

Ebbsfleet United have added several new names to their squad ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The energetic forward Elliott Romain was snapped up by Dennis Kutrieb after he left Dartford last week and joins a side keen for a quick return to the National League.

Also through the Kuflink Stadium door in the past few weeks is midfielder Christian N’Guessan and goalkeeper Chris Haigh, who joins from Concord Rangers.

Saint Lucia international midfielder Kieran Monlouis is another new face to Stonebridge Road while Rakish Bingham is confirmed to once again lead the line for Fleet.

The club have also announce the signing of 26-year-old Kreshnic Krasniqi following his departure from Maidstone United.

The six-foot midfielder has considerable National League South experience, although he began his career in Cyprus playing in the Third Division before a move to First Division side Ethnikos Achna.

He played in Fleet’s end-of-season games in March and April, showing his versatility by deploying in a central defensive position as well as midfield.

Born in Kosovo, Krasniqi came to England at a young age and he then returned from Cyprus to sign for Billericay Town, where he spent 2016/17. He was part of the successful Heybridge Swifts squad under Julian Dicks, alongside fellow new Fleet signing Chris Haigh, scoring 18 goals from midfield at the Essex club and reaching the play-offs two seasons in succession.

Left-back Joe Martin has also joined the Fleet; “With the setup here, and I’ve been to the training ground, and the people there, the fitness staff and everything like that, it’s a real professional setup. I’m really looking forward to getting back in…”

Announced on the 21st June was Craig Tanner, an exciting, creative player signed from Aldershot Town, and someone that played in the SPL with Motherwell, as well as for AFC Wimbledon, Reading and Plymouth!

Dennis Kutrieb has also captured experienced centre-back Sido Jombati just over a year after the Portuguese helped Wycombe Wanderers to promotion to the Championship.

The athletic 6ft 4in defender won two promotions with the Chairboys and has made more than 300 EFL appearances over the past nine seasons.

Among those retained from last season is Ben Chapman, Dominic Poleon, Tobi Rowling, Will Wood, Michael West, Adam Mekki and Lee Martin, with others sure to be confirmed shortly.

The Fleet can confirm that defender Ben Frempah has departed the club this summer.
