Hayrettin brings in 4 to Braintree ahead of TV game
Braintree Town Manager Hakan Hayrettin has added four players to his squad for tomorrow’s live BT Sport match against Solihull Moors.
Joining the squad is 23-year old defender Ejiro Okosieme who has joined from fellow National League side Dover Athletic. Ejiro started his career playing for Colchester United’s academy before joining Middlesbrough where he played for their under-18 and under-21 teams. He also had a brief spell with Macclesfield Town.
Hakan has also added Taylor Curran on loan from Southend United. The 19-year old central defender has done well in the Blues’ U18s & U23s and has now signed a two-year professional contract with the Roots Hall club.
Next signing is goalkeeper George Legg on loan from Championship side Reading. Ahead of the current campaign, George was yet to make a debut for the Royals’ senior team, but he had been named on the bench on numerous
occasions as cover for the starter. He has, however, regularly featured for the Royals’ Under-23 squad and in our Checkatrade Trophy campaigns and had loans at Hendon, Dunstable, Chesham, Hampton & Richmond, Gosport and Barnet.
Fourth new signing is 20-year old striker Norman Wabo on loan from Southend United, after signing his first professional contract – a one year deal with an option for another year. Wabo spent the end of the 2016/17 on loan at Cambridge City in The Evo-Stik Southern Premier League scoring four goals in five appearances.
