Margate Sports – no more

Margate Sports are to have a name change ahead of the 2019/20 Season

The Kent County Division One C&E side will now go by the name of Thanet United

Announcement from the club:

We would like to announce that Margate Sports in its current form is no longer in operation.

With a tough season now complete, a season that saw senior personnel within the club leave, we are delighted to announce that acting chairman Jim Miller, manager Ryan Wilson and head coach Jack Tanner have struck a deal with former Semi Professional player Tom Hickman and former Bostik Chairman Phil Fennel along with Ryan Moore and Les Staples of SMS Skills to create a new club Thanet United FC.

The side will still compete in the same Division as last season.
