McKimm and Moore sign on at Tonbridge
Tonbridge Angels have confirmed that their manager Steve McKimm and his assistant Barry Moore have signed new contracts to stay at the Longmead Stadium.
Chairman Dave Netherstreet said in a statement: “We believe that Steve and Barry are the pair to help us achieve that success; given the challenges of running a semi-professional club they have done brilliantly over the last seven years and we believe that success can continue and grow.”
McKimm arrived at Longmead Stadium in May 2014 following the clubs relegation from Conference South the previous season.
The pair guided the club back into National League South in 2019 then in November 2020, the Angels reached The FA Cup First Round for the first time since 1972, although they suffered a 7-0 home defeat to League Two side Bradford City.
The club statement continued: “The bespoke contract provides security for both club and managers and gives the opportunity for Steve and Barry to build for the future with the aspiration of promotion to the top rung of non-league football.”
Delighted and privileged to still be in charge, along with @BarryMooro77 of a very well run football club. #TAFC https://t.co/4QgX5LqPeF
