Muir clinches Hartlepool move
Hendon striker Niko Muir has signed for Hartlepool United.
Pools have fought off competition from a number of clubs to secure the signing of the prolific front man from Hendon for an undisclosed fee.
Manager Matthew Bates has had the 24-year-old on his radar since the end of last term and a deal has now been finalised to bring the highly-rated forward to Victoria Park.
Muir was at The Vic on Thursday to complete a medical and sign a contract after Pools won the race to sign the Isthmian League hotshot who hit the net 40 times in all competitions last season.
A strong and powerful striker, Muir has been a reliable source of goals for a number of clubs across the non-league scene having had two spells at Hendon as well as stints with Grays Athletic, Wingate & Finchley, VCD Athletic and Leiston.
Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers showed a strong interest in Muir last term, while a host of clubs have been after his signature this summer but Pools have now completed a deal.
We wish Niko all the best with his new club.
