Welling United bolster their ranks
Welling United boss Brad Quinton has moved to bolster his squad ahead of this weekend’s match at Oxford City with a quartet of new faces.
Central defender Finn O’Mara joins on a one-month loan from Folkestone Invicta. The former Gillingham youngster made his professional debut aged 17 for the Medway club before joining Invicta in 2018, initially on loan, and making over 70 appearances.
Left back Sam Mvemba has joined the club from Bishop’s Stortford. Mvemba joined Stortford last summer after two seasons at Aveley, featuring in the Aveley side which reached the FA Trophy quarter final.
Former Wing Harvey Brand also rejoins the club after recently featuring in the 5-1 friendly victory over Erith & Belvedere. Since his first spell at PVR Harvey has turned out for clubs including Welling Town, Thamesmead Town, Whyteleafe, Margate and, most recently, Beckenham Town.
The National League South strugglers have also signed David Hughes from Aveley as goalkeeper cover.
Meanwhile Matty Everitt has returned to Brighton & Hove Albion after the expiry of is loan spell.
