He’s Back, again! – Coombes returns to Welling
With the squad stretched by injuries, Wings boss Steve King has dipped into the transfer market to strengthen the squad ahead of Saturday’s trip to Bath City.
Firstly they welcome back goal-scorer Adam Coombes back to the club for his third spell. The classy front-man joins on loan from Billericay Town. Coombes has been in-and-out of the Billericay side and his only goal in a Blues shirt came from the penalty spot in a 3-0 at PVR back in August. Adam is cup-tied after featuring for Billericay in this season’s FA Cup so will not be able to feature in next week’s match at Hereford.
Welling also welcome defender and two-time National League South playoff winner Josh Hill to the club. Josh joins after leaving Braintree earlier this month following the club’s promotion to the National League. Josh’s former clubs include Chelmsford City, St. Albans City and Boreham Wood FC where he also won promotion back in 2015.
Both players will be available for selection tomorrow away at Bath City.
