Ide Hill to share with Angels

Tonbridge Angels Football Club have announced a new partnership and groundshare agreement with local, Kent County League Premier side, Ide Hill Football Club.

The new arrangement will see Ide Hill playing their first team home matches at the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium on Saturday afternoons when Angels are playing away from home.

Tonbridge Angels Chair, Sophie Purves said, “We are very happy to be sharing our ground with Ide Hill Football Club on Saturdays when the first team are playing away. They are a well-run, local Kent County League club, who share our community ethos and have ambitions to climb up the leagues. We look forward to them joining us and we hope they enjoy a successful centenary season at the Halcyon Wealth Longmead Stadium.”

Ide Hill Club Secretary, Clare Dance said, “Ide Hill Football Club would like to thank Tonbridge Angels for enabling us to secure this exciting groundshare. We are so thrilled with the partnership, which will help our club progress in the future. We can’t wait for the season ahead.”

Ide Hill Football Club manager, Brehnan Chidley also added, “We are delighted to have this fantastic opportunity to groundshare with Tonbridge Angels and we thank them for all their support. Playing in a stadium environment on a first class 3G pitch will stand us in good stead as we look to challenge for promotion next season.”

Tonbridge Angels Chair, Sophie Purves finally added, “Flexibility from our primary pitch hire partner, Tonbridge Juniors Football Club, has allowed this groundshare to take place. Thanks go to Reg Spicer and Mark Roberts for helping to make this happen.”

Admission to the Ide Hill first team matches at Longmead next season will be £5, with Tonbridge Angels season ticket holders receiving reduced rate entry of £3. The Tonbridge Angels Sports Bar and food kiosk will be open for every match and kick-offs will be at 2.45pm.
