Leroy Lita joins Bostik Premier side Margate

Margate Football Club have unveiled the signing of former Premier League and England U21 striker Leroy Lita.

Lita has signed a deal at Hartsdown Park adding to The Gate’s attacking options for this campaign. The former Reading, Bristol City and Middlesbrough striker is available to play from 10th September having recently received international clearance.

Lita joins the club having recently returned from playing abroad for Thai side Sisaket in the up and coming T1 League.

Margate’s Vice Chairman Ricky Owen said;

“This is a massive boost for the club and supporters as Leroy has a history with the club. His appearance at the Tonbridge created a real buzz with the fans”

Manager Mike Sandmann said;

“It’s fantastic to have a player with Leroy’s experience joining the already talented group of lads we have. It’s another attacking option that will give the team and the supporter a lift”
