Sam Corne rejoins Alexander at Ashford United
This afternoon Ashford United welcomed their seventh signing of this Summer as 21 year-old Sam Corne joined the Nuts & Bolts.
The ex Welling United, and Braintree Town player joins from Greenborough Borough, and comes in having played with other recent signing Tom Carlse and of course the boss Gary Alexander.
Alexander spoke told the official Ashford website earlier:
“Sam Corne is a player who I worked hard to get to Greenwich because of his ability and experience having played many games in the leagues above.”
“I’m delighted to say he’s back with me and I’m sure you’ll all join me in saying welcome on board Corney!”
Sam is a centre midfielder, he made the second most appearances for Greenwich last season (43), scoring 5 goals in the process.
He joins six other signings this Summer, Ollie Rowe, Lea Dawson, Antonio Simeone, Tom Carlse, and Sam Mott and Josh Wisson, of which more can be read about here as Alexander shapes a squad capable of challenging at the top end of the Bostik South East Division.
